Jianlin Ni is the partner of Dentons Shanghai Office. Dr. Ni got hisDoctor Degree in law from University of International Business and Economics in2001. In September 2003, Dr. Ni led a delegation from Shanghai to attend the3-month European Training Program on WTO Affairs in the EU and WTOheadquarters. In October 2018, as one of National Leading Talents forForeign-Related Legal Practice, Dr. Ni attended and completed the 1-month TrainingProgram on Investment and Cross Border M&A from International Law Institutein the USA.
Dr. Ni practices on international trade, anti-dumping,tradecompliance,M&A, FDI, PE and international commercialdispute resolution.
Dr. Ni is a well-trained expert on international trade law and isexperienced in resolving international trade disputes. He has represented morethan 30 domestic companies in anti-dumping investigation cases initiated byforeign government. In the anti-dumping and countervailing investigationagainst Chinese solar panels initiated by EU, he represented many largedomestic companies and provincial government.
Dr. Ni has advised many multinational companies and PE with respectto their FDI and M&A projects in China. Dr. Ni advised Chinese companies ontheir outbound investment and acquisition. The FTZ legal service team led byDr. Ni is a leading team in the field of FTZ service and has accomplisheddozens of ODI projects. Dr. Ni is the lecturer of FTZ training programs held byShanghai Bar Association and participates in publishing the first compilationof FTZ laws and regulations in China.

- Representing many domestic companies in USA’s anti-dumpingand countervailing investigation proceeding concerning fabricated structural steelfrom China in 2019, and scaffolding products are successfully excluded
- Representing a domestic companyin USA’s anti-dumping and countervailing investigationproceeding concerning aluminium wire and cable from China in 2018 and obtained theseparate rate
- Representing many domestic companies in USA’santi-dumping and countervailing investigation proceeding concerning certain aluminiumfoil, common alloy aluminium sheet, tool chests and cabinets from China in2017, and obtained the separate rates
- Representing a domestic company in India’s anti-dumpinginvestigation concerning solar cells whether or not assembled partially orfully in modules or panels or on glass or some other suitable substratesoriginating in or exported from China in 2017, and the investigation has beenterminated without actions
- Representing a domestic company as a mandatoryrespondent in USA’s anti-dumping and countervailing proceeding concerning certainamorphous silica fabric from China in 2016
- Representing domestic companies in Canada’santi-dumping investigation proceeding concerning certain photovoltaic modulesand laminates originating in or exported from China in 2014
- Representing domestic companies in EU anti-dumpinginvestigation proceeding concerning crystalline silicon photovoltaic modulesand key components (i.e. cells and wafers) imported from China in 2012
