Detailed introduction
William Mok is a Partner in Dentons Law Office. He has practiced law since 1998 and worked in first-tier international and local law firms for several years.
William has substantial experience in real estate and construction law. He has advised many local/international real estate companies and PE funds on a wide range of transactions including the acquisition and financing of many commercial, residential，industrial & warehouse projects and NPA/NPL in China.
He also advises many industry parks, retail shops or hotels on its leasing, build to lease and commercial operation. He also has experience in company IPOs/bond issuing, debt restructure, non-performing loan matters, outbound investment as well as REITS and CMBS.
He has experience in the construction of several large-scale real estate projects, onshore/offshore infrastructure and EPC projects, including drafting and negotiating contractual documentation in both English and Chinese.
William is a member of dispute resolution team which specializes mainly in disputes arising from construction, real estate, debt collection, and enforcement.
William also advises many corporate clients, private enterprises and PE funds on various issues arising from M&A to general corporate in relation to new energy, high-tech company and automobile industry.
- Advised Keppel Land China，Pingan Real Estate, China Vanke, Shimao, China Everbright, Financial Street, CMIG, SNPTC, COFCO, Country Garden, CEFC, Greentown, Goodman, Forest Logistics, New Ease etc. on the development, acquisition and financing of their commercial, residential or warehouse real estate projects;
- Advised China Telecom, China Mobile, French Contractor GSE, American Contractor Bechtel, CallisonRTLK and many others on all aspects of the design and construction process, as well as construction dispute resolution.
- NPL/As practice: involved in Morgan Stanly and Deutsche Bank acquisition of NPLs in China; conduct DD and advice Chinese funds on acquisition of NPLs. Advice Cinda on selling of NPLs. Advice many foreign funds on acquisition of single NPAs by way of auction or negotiation.
- Represented ADIDAS, Sotheby’s,Thermo Fisher Scientific，Solera (Audatex in China), TESCO China, Thyssen Group, SPX, Federal Mogul, Schaeffler China, Ashland, Travelzoo, Rivergate, Hilton, DSM, Degussa, Porsche, Atlas, JP Morgan Partner, Linde Group, Danone, Interbrew, Cardinal Health in a wide range of issues arising from Foreign direct investment , M&A, compliance, factory construction, labor, IP and general corporate matters.
