Detailed introduction
Mr. Yuzhou Yang graduated from the Light Sources and Illuminating Engineering Department of Fudan University and completed an academic minor in international economic law in Fudan University in 2011. He received his lawyer license and started his legal career in 2002. He became a certified PRC patent attorney in 2006.
Mr. Yang focuses his practice on intellectual property law. Mr. Yang is specialized in handling patent matters, including patent application, patent infringement analysis, patent litigation, patent due diligence, and IP licensing. Mr. Yang has handled over 600 foreign-related patent applications (including patent drafting, application, reply review opinion notice, review), successfully represented many patent invalidation and infringement litigation cases, and handled many foreign-related intellectual property licensing and transfer matters. Mr. Yang has provided intellectual property legal services to a wide range of clients worldwide, including Illinois Tool Works (machinery), Samsung Electronics (LCD), TE Connectivity (machinery and electronics, formerly known as Tyco Electronics), Nike (shoes), Johnson Controls (Power Solutions) (energy), NXP Semiconductors, Vail Semiconductor and Howe Technology (integrated circuit), China Merchants Bank (software patents), Huawei and Xiaomi (communications patents), Baidu (software patents), United Imaging Healthcare (medical imaging equipment), and many other well-known enterprises.
Mr. Yang also has rich experience in foreign trademark law practice, and has handled hundreds of foreign trademark applications for foreign clients. He also has extensive experience in trademark review, opposition, dispute and recognition of PRC well-known trademarks and has successfully represented many trademark infringement cases. Mr. Yang also advises businesses on their strategic IP planning, anti-unfair competition, protection of trade secrets, copyright infringement, copyright registration, transfer and licensing of intellectual property rights, technology import and export, intellectual property due diligence, anti-unfair competition, domain name disputes, etc.

- Won the case at the Supreme People's Court - Represented Nantong Baling Steel Shot Co., Ltd. in a patent infringement lawsuit initiated by Fujian Duoling Steel Group Co., Ltd. and assisted it to win the retrial before the Supreme People's Court (which was selected as a guiding case into the 2010 Supreme People’s Court Intellectual Property Report and ranked among the Top 10 Cases by the Intellectual Property Committee of the All China Lawyers Association for 2011-12);
- Won the case at the Supreme People's Court - Represented Mr. Wu in a utility model patent infringement lawsuit against Beijing Zhenhenglimin Printing Machinery Co., Ltd. before the Supreme People's Court for a retrial (the Supreme People’s Court overrode the original court decision and ordered a retrial);
- Won the case at the Supreme People's Court - Represented Wenzhou Feiyue Financial Devices Co., Ltd. in a patent infringement lawsuit initiated by Mr. Yu (the Supreme People’s Court overrode the original court decision and ordered a retrial);
- Represented Xiaomi Inc. in an invention patent (SEP) infringement lawsuit initiated by KPN;
- Represented Shanghai Harada New Automotive Antenna Co., Ltd. in an invention patent infringement lawsuit initiated by Jiang Xiaoping (involving an amount of RMB 60 million; the plaintiff voluntarily withdrew the lawsuit);
- Represented Zongshen Group in a patent case in Thailand in a patent infringement lawsuit initiated by Honda against Zongshen Machinery Manufacturing Co. Ltd. in Thailand;
- Represented NXP B.V. in an invention patent infringement and unfair competition lawsuit against two integrated circuit companies;
- Represented Shanghai HanXiang (CooTek) Information Technology Co., Ltd. in an input method invention patent infringement lawsuit against Nuance Communications;
- Represented Lingbi Hongfeng Technology & Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. in a patent infringement lawsuit initiated by Wraio Chemicals;
- Represented Shaoxing Xinke Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd.. in a patent infringement lawsuit initiated by Wraio Chemicals;
- Represented Suzhou East-Sea Filter Equipment Co., Ltd. in a series of patent infringement lawsuits initiated by Yuyao Jieda Textile Machinery Co., Ltd.;

Trademark & Unfair Competition
- Won the case at the Supreme People's Court - Represented Beijing Fengtai District ABC Foreign Language School in a “VIPABC” trademark infringement and invalidation lawsuit against Maiqi Education Group, involving an amount of RMB 50 million;
- Represented Hangzhou Viewin Microelectronics Co., Ltd. in a high-profile trademark infringement lawsuit against Beijing Xiaoju Technology Co., Ltd. as lead counsel (concerning infringement upon “Didi(嘀嘀)” trademark and involving an amount of RMB 80 million; the footage from inside the Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court have been broadcast live for the first time; the lawsuit was settled);
- Represented YOUNGZONE (Shanghai) CORP., LTD. in a false advertising and commercial defamation lawsuit against Qingdao Heivr (the court honored all requests raised by the client);
- Represented YOUNGZONE (Shanghai) CORP., LTD. in a trademark infringement and false advertising lawsuit against Shenzhen Niho (the court honored all requests raised by the client);
- Represented YYOUNGZONE (Shanghai) CORP., LTD. in a commercial defamation lawsuit initiated by Dalian New Vision (the lawsuit ended through the reconciliation process and there was no fault on the part of either party);
- Represented Illinois Tool Works Inc. in a trademark infringement and unfair competition lawsuit against Shenzhen Wujia Electronics Industrial Equipment Trading Firm;
- Represented Baopai Children's Clothing Co., Ltd. in a copyright and trademark licensing contract dispute submitted by BOBDOG HOLDING COMPANY (the lawsuit ended through the reconciliation process and there was no fault on the part of either party).
