Before he started practicing law, Mr. Yongsheng Yang had worked as a judge in a PRC grass-roots court for more than 10 years in the positions of assistant judge, judge, presiding judge and member of the Judicial Committee successively. During his time as a judge, Mr. Yang had accumulated rich practical experience in judicial practice by trying or presiding the hearing of a wide range of civil and commercial cases and many difficult and complex criminal cases, many of which were retried due to flawed fact finding and difficulty in application of laws.

Currently Mr. Yang has practiced as a lawyer for more than 10 years. He has handled a large number of major commercial disputes in the construction, real estate, financial leasing,international trade and other industries. He is known for his precise analysis of and unique insight into major, frontier, difficult or complex legal issues in handling commercial disputes. Mr. Yang has also provided legal services for many real estate development, M&A and restructuring, and investment & financing projects, and, by doing so, developed a deep understanding of various business models and transaction modes as well as business opportunities and legal risks embodied therein.

Thanks to his knowledge and experience accumulated during his time as a senior judge, Mr. Yang develops a deep understanding of what corporate clients want and need in terms of business interests and legal services, is good at assessing the degree of legal expertise and psychological expectations of counterparties in negotiations, knows well the working styles and trial patterns of different judges and, therefore, can precisely foresee possible outcomes of business negotiations and legal proceedings to provide strong legal support for corporate clients in their decision making and assist them to maximize their legitimate interests and minimize legal risks.
